• Rhythm & Roots is holding a Western swing dance Friday
with Tucson's own Way Out West and Nashville-based Texas swing
artist Carolyn Martin.
Martin is a multiple Western Music Association award-winner,
including for Best Western Swing Album in 2011 and Western Swing
Female Vocalist of the Year in 2008 and 2010.
Friday's dance begins at 7:30 p.m. at Suite 147 in Plaza
Palomino, 2970 N. Swan Road. Tickets are $15 in advance at area
Bookmans stores, Antigone Books on North Fourth Avenue and Dark
Star Leather in Plaza Palomino; or at www.rhythmandroots.org online. It's $18 at the door, $10 for students with ID.
